Waves And Particles

Diffraction

Human grains of sand or salt
jostling each other for position,
letting ripples, sound, light roll by,
will we pass through or collide?

Switching between molecules and waves
dropping back into individual paticles
but I didn’t emerge unchanged
your trough took my crest down.

Energy wasn’t deposited equally
through any of our history
everything's meant to be sharable
yet greed marbled our eyes.

Religion's wave function collapsed
left my notion of reality broken,
philosophy is all that's left me,
stripped bare of certainty,
like a skinned carcass, still heaving.

Third world anger isn’t an energy
but curdled waves spoiling shores,
our hard tokens hurled
at shrinking spaces.
