Who Are You?

Evening Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray my soul I get to keep,
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the void my soul to take,
but first allow it hovering rights
around the neighborhood of my life,
to linger with my family and friends
and drift among the odds and ends
of all that remains and all that's done.
Let it laugh and have some fun.
The voyage ahead, the voyage behind,
who knows the path that it will find?
The various forms that it might take,
a celestial dome, a birthday cake.
The soul is wandering on its own,
always finding another home.
