‘Good Morning! Thank you for tuning in with us here at Radio Wild FM, I hope your morning is going okay, we are with you through until 10. If you haven’t yet managed to get out of bed here is a song that will surely get you up and moving.’

James span his chair around as he played the song over the airwaves. ‘Good choice mate that should get the lazy ones up and out. What’s the next playlist? I’ll get it set up while you prepare to take the listeners’ calls. They would rather speak to the main man rather than his assistant.’
James laughed, ‘Well, can you blame them I am famous.’
Phil smiled, he loved his job, working at the radio station alongside a top D.J. was his dream since he had been at college.

Phil looked up at James, ‘Dare I ask how last night went?’
James lent back checking his reflection in the mirror. Lifting his hand he tapped the top of his quiff, ‘Mate it was fantastic, you should have come with us. The music was banging, free drinks all night and lots of hot women.’
‘Let me guess you spent the night with one of them?’
‘Yep, you know me too well. It wouldn’t be a good night without female company.’
‘I don’t know how you do it, you should try settling down, it’s better than you think it is.’
‘Nah, I’m not ready for that yet.’
‘Are you going to see the woman again? Do you even know her name?’
James laughed, ‘It was something like Sarah or Simone. To be honest when I woke up this morning I thought she was ugly, I guess she must have looked better after a few drinks. I pulled on my clothes and headed out the door before she woke up.’
Phil sighed, ‘One day you are going to get caught out, you can’t go on treating woman like this, they aren’t stupid or forgiving.’

James looked up to see the producer with his index finger pushed against his mouth and his other hand was pointing above his head. ‘What’s Simon doing?’
Phil turned around to look out the window to see Simon standing up making the shh sign.
Phil spun back around and looked over James’ head the red beacon was lit up.
‘Mmmm James I don’t think we were playing music, I think the listeners just got an update on your love life.’
James pushed his hand away from the desk allowing his chair to spin, he followed Phil’s eye-line. James’ cheeks matched the colour of the beacon, I must have pressed the on-air button when I leant back James thought to himself. Placing his hand over his mouth to avoid swearing he turned to see that the dashboard was lit up with orange flashing lights with callers ringing into the station. James looked up to see the producer’s stern face with his arms flapping around in the air. James gulped as he pressed the green button to begin the next playlist.

James whispered, ‘Note to self, always think before you speak’.

Phil chuckled, ‘I think that might have been karma getting you back for leaving without saying goodbye.’

‘Shut it,’ Snapped James. Feeling mortified, he planned an apology to his morning listeners.
