New Year Resolution
Entry by: SimonH
9th January 2015
The hour grows late, my eyes seem heavy,
But I dream of you, as I drift so gently,
Into a blissful stupor, sweet and gay,
While you lie sleeping far away.
I think of us lying in forgotten places,
Of walking in moonlight under wintery skies,
Or in the faltering evening's dear embrace.
Of kissing so gently your darling face.
For you are mine, or at least I hope you'll be,
Though you know it not, and never will it seems.
For my new year resolution is to be this my dear,
To let you know how I feel, without pain or fear,
So that I may not be so alone next year.
