About My Mother

Entry by: Fletcher & Beaumont

20th March 2015
They have soothed my forehead,
Provided the meditation that lets me sleep.
They held mine as I grew and now take those of my daughter
Safety. Comfort. Love.

Once strong and supple, they feel thin and papery.
I see how they creak around knitting needles that once flew.

Now I am the one that soothes and my hands hold yours, Mum.
