You dropped your vows
like dropping a handkerchief on a cold table
Hurt chattered like broken dishes inside me.
Now you are far, like an unspoken name;
If I leave your name out of my touch
Will the glimmer of love pass slowly away?
Will your nipples stop reaching out to me?
Will I grow away from the shadows?

In my sleepless forgetting
faces awaken from the past
So much is adrift now.
The day is a sea
blue with my teeth marks.
In moments of airless insanity
I wish to drown in this sea,
like I used to drown inside your skin.
But you're gone
I'm left alone with straws
floating aimlessly in the sea.
